The Suunto Core Outdoor Watch offers outdoors enthusiasts everything they need for scaling rocky heights, navigating through dense bush or outlasting bad weather. The altimeter, barometer, compass, storm alarm along with sunrise and sunset times packs a whole lot of punch into one small timekeeping package. The functionality and aesthetics of this high performance outdoor watch were designed by award-winning Suunto Core. This is a company with a time-proven track record for helping you explore the wilds of nature around the world while staying focused and on track. The Suunto Core survival watch also has an extremely easy interface so you can navigate your way through the harshest conditions safely.
Altimeter -The altimeter in this outdoor watch has a range of up to 9000m (29 500 feet). It is perfectly suited for all activities where capturing your altitude, ascent and descent rates is vital. The core altimeter features an altitude difference measurement for measuring your altitude progress. The log recorder captures and stores all your movements in altitude (between start and stop times), so you can review your trip at home. You can also view graphs of changes in altitude during your hikes, find out how far you have climbed, the duration of your ascents and descents, your average ascent and descent speed and a whole lot more.
Barometer -This Suunto Core outdoor watch also shows you the current sea level pressure as a detailed graph. It shows a recording of the previous 24 hours at 30 minute intervals. The weather trend indicator is a very useful feature in that it provides a quick reference for upcoming weather conditions. The storm alarm alerts you to sudden drops in air pressure, which could be related to worsening weather conditions.
Automatic Alti/Baro switch -There is also an automatic Alti/Baro switch on this smart watch, a feature that actually senses your movement (or lack thereof). This allows it switch between the altimeter and barometer accordingly. So when you are climbing, it records changes in elevation. And if you stop, it records changes in barometric pressure. So how smart is this - a drop in air pressure while you are sleeping under the stars will be recorded as a change in barometric pressure, not altitude!
Compass -The digital compass on this smart outdoor watch shows the cardinal or half-cardinal point and the North for outstanding navigation. The declination adjustment function allows you to instantly correct the true North and magnetic North differential. You can also set the compass to track a certain bearing. This will automatically help you follow a chosen direction. The compass also features a rotating bezel (most variants) or there is also a one-touch function that allows you tosight lockand follow a particular bearing.
Depth meter -Intended for use while snorkeling, the depth meter on this smart watch delivers information for you on your current depth and the maximum depth reached during your dive. The maximum depth the meter can calculate is 10 meters (32,8 feet).
